Dr. Cotten earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine before completing his residency in internal medicine at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. He then completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Cotten is board certified in cardiovascular diseases. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Cardiology. He currently resides in Jackson with his wife Kathryn and their three children and is a member of First Presbyterian Church.
