Michael R. McMullan, M.D.

A native of Decatur, Mississippi, Dr. McMullan completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Mississippi, finishing Summa Cum Laude. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi  School of  Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine, and his fellowship in cardiology. He then completed a fellowship in cardiology, focusing on Interventional Cardiology, Valvular and Adult Congenital Heart Disease, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. McMullan is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, where he has served as governor for the Mississippi chapter from 2005-2008. He was on faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from 1998-2007 where he served as director of the cardiology fellowship training program and was selected UMMC Clinical Professor of the Year 2005 and Department of Medicine Teacher of the Year in 2000.

Dr. McMullan is a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, where he served as chairman of the deacons, chairman of the personnel committee, Sunday School teacher, and a member of the choir. He is also involved in Baptist Medical and Dental Missions International.  He and his wife, Missy, have two children, Courtney and Matthew.
