H. Chris Waterer, III, M.D.
Dr. Waterer is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson. He also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Mississippi. He remained on faculty at UMC as an assistant professor of medicine before joining Cardiovascular Associates in 1996. Dr. Waterer is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. He currently is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Mississippi.
He served as chief of staff at the Baptist Medical Center from 2004-2006 and is currently a member of the executive and credentials committee.
A Tchula, Mississippi native, Dr. Waterer is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and resides in Jackson with his wife, Dr. Rebecca Waterer, and their two children, Joy Kate and Hank.
